I found Smart Body because they were *highly* recommended by Mayo Clinic. I was lucky to get on the schedule for nine sessions. Smart Body staff is what you'd want--respectful, excellent bedside manner, considerate. Which is great, but the reason I urge you for go to Smart Body is COMPETENCE. So much knowledge and insight gathered so quickly! Was it fun? Nope. (Like any physical therapy that I've ever had). Do I have a lot of home work ahead of me? Yup. On about day 6 of my experience I was exhausted and ready to cry. But I ultimately came away feeling equipped and ready! My long and frustrating and expensive search for help is over. Maybe Smart Body has a few hiccups in the booking/reception area, like just about any business right now. But there are some very strong individuals working that area picking up the slack, and that will NOT affect your health care. Moving forward Smart Body is going to be in even BIGGER demand! Make your appointment sooner, not later. I traveled 1,400 miles to see them. Well worth it.

Every provider I have seen at this clinic is fantastic! For three years I've seen another physical therapist and had no results. Yes, it was a very nice & clean facility. I did not feel comfortable with my therapist. I am very glad I asked to receive a copy of my evaluation. There were so many inaccuracies! I was both surprised and disappointed. I will challenge the report with my insurance carrier as this assessment is damaging and presents an inaccurate picture of my health. Personal information was included in a compromising way. All in all a very brusk, experience. Also, medical testing revealed a bacterial cause for much of the problem. I am sure strengthening exercises will be helpful. However, I need to feel respected and heard by my medical provider to want to invest in any therapy. It seems they are the only provider of this care in the city. I don't want to go back, but may have to.

Resulting in whole body reconditioning. I suffer also with alignment issues and pelvic floor disfunction. I came to them weak and my spirits low. Experience at smart body was ok until I was completely lied to, by both therapists and front desk staff, about what my insurance covers for my visit. Now they're billing me 300 dollars. I will not be returning.

I wasn't happy with my first 3 intial visits and when they called me to make my next one I explained that I wasn't satisfied with the services. They called me back the next day and asked me to come back and to try the owner as my theripist instead and that maybe we weren't a good match. I was up to doing that until I suggested that for my time wasted that they only charge my insurace company for the make up visits and not be require me to pay my $40 copay again for the next 3 visits, they wouldn't do it. I made comment to them that if I fixed their car and they weren't happy with the repairs being done would you be willing to pay me again for fixing it right the second time. They said this was different. Yes it was as I was still allowing them to get paid through my insurance and an auto repair would have got nothing. I didn't think I was asking for that much. I couldn't believe what I was hearing as their whole business is based on word of mouth referrals. Do you mean that it is more important to you to get my $40 then it is to get nothing at all, lose a customer and get a bad review. She hung up on me. I later learned at my next doctor's visit who referred me to them, that they called him to try and save face. He said I had no idea what they were even talking about as you never mentioned this to me. I guess they were afraid of losing a referral too. Follow up - They came back after my review telling me it is against the law to not charge a copay. I learned a long time ago to follow through on anything that involves money because people will tell you anything to get out of having to refund your money. So did just that, I contacted the insurance regulatorys office to confirm that fact. They were only telling me the half truth. YES it is against the law to wave copays as a practice to lurer customers in from someone going to another doctor because your cheaper by not charging copays. It is not against the law to wave a copay under special circumstances including poor customer service as you already paid your copay the first time and your compensating the customer for poor service. They admitted it to me it wasnt good service they just didnt want to pay by proving it.

I would recommend Smartbody. They were very professional and nice. I went after having pelvic surgery and they helped me recover to a better state I was in than before my surgery. Dr Sara Sohn was warm and friendly. She treated me well and helped me to not feel embarrassed about anything. Her and her staff even taught me diet and nutrition in such a way to help with my pelvic floor issues. The front desk handled my billing and insurance to my satisfaction. Laura and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and have helped me when others couldn't diagnose me. I had stress fractures in both feet and went to many doctors without a diagnosis for two years. After one visit with Laura, she listened to my symptoms, and told me it sounded like I had stress fractures. She was right. It was a long 6-8 months of recovery with a podiatrist and then I went to see Laura for my PT. She has since seen me for a sprained ankle, back pain, and a tailbone injury.
